QA Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Lead to join our client in County Westmeath. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend automation using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Java, and Cucumber, as well as hands-on performance testing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the QA team in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for backend systems using GCP, Java, and Cucumber.
* Oversee and participate in performance testing activities, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks.
* Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans to ensure the highest quality standards.
* Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
* Mentor and guide QA engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Analyze test results, report defects, and ensure timely resolution.
* Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in QA automation and performance testing.
* Drive the adoption of new tools and technologies to enhance our QA capabilities.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a QA Lead or similar role, with a focus on backend automation and performance testing.
* Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Proficient in Java and Cucumber for test automation.
* Hands-on experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
* Familiarity with other automation frameworks and tools.
* Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
