MEICA Project Engineer

Shareridge is currently seeking a reliable and experienced MEICA Project Engineer to join our growing team working on key Water & Wastewater Infrastructure projects nationwide. As a MEICA Project Engineer you will work as part of our multi-disciplinary teams to bring projects from initial design, through to completion and handover to the client.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement mechanical solutions for multiple water and wastewater treatment projects.
* Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to on-site.
* Review, prepare and submit detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessments prior to work activities commencing.
* Ensure projects are delivered in-line with quality procedures and that testing and commissioning of the works are completed in-line with the quality plan requirements.
* Preparation and submission of project handover files including O&M Manuals, Safety Files and As Constructed Drawings.
* Ensuring design, materials and workmanship is in line with the specified requirements
* Conduct thorough assessments of project requirements, prepare detailed project plans, and define scope
* Liaise with relevant consultants, subcontractors, site staff, commercial resources and the general site team involved in the project
* Other duties as required from time to time.
* Work as part of a team in the delivery of one or more projects at any one time.
* Participate in project review meetings
Experience:
* Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
* 3+ years of proven water and wastewater industry experience as a project engineer or similar role.
* Ability to work as part of a team in project delivery and provide input at team meetings.
* Ability to engage with suppliers and sub-contractors at procurement stage and in the delivery of their scope of supply during contract delivery.
* Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and adjust as issues arise during project delivery.
* Good working knowledge in the use of GPS, total station and CAD.
* Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation.
* Demonstrated problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing project requirements.
* Full driving licence
Knowledge & Skills:
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of mechanical/electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and automation technologies relevant to water treatment processes.
* Understanding of NEC 4 Contractual requirements.
* Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
* Ability to communicate well with clients, subcontractors and in-house staff.
* Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office applications is essential. Familiarity with MS Project, A-CAD, Trimble Pro-Design is preferred.
Additional Information:
* Location: Head office is located in Castlebar and Shareridge projects are based in the Midlands and Southeast regions, with regional offices in Limerick, Tullamore & Kilkenny
* Travel: This role involves travel to project sites and meetings when required.
