Job Title: County Controller - Ireland
Job Description
The County Controller will work closely with the Europe and Ireland Controller to deliver financial governance and control for Irish legal entities. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing an understanding of IFRS9 Credit Impairment calculation and reporting processes, ensuring they are well controlled, meet regulatory expectations, and are appropriately reflected in internal, regulatory, and external financial reports.
- Leading finance support for the annual Strategic Planning process, forecasting, entity profitability analysis, and projects.
- Supporting local legal entity reporting requirements to meet management and board reporting needs, working with Financial Planning and Analysis and Legal Entity Controller teams.
- Assisting in efforts to ensure consistent and controlled data across CFO reporting, including internal, regulatory, and external financial reports.
- Supporting Finance aspects of entity-specific Recovery & Resolution Plan and entity-specific ICAAP, ILAAP, and ECB Stress Tests as required.
- Ensuring an appropriate internal control environment is established and operating effectively within areas of responsibility.
- Escalating issues arising and raising Self-Identified Audit Issues (SIAs) as required.
- Continuously improving and enhancing the financial control environment, demonstrating ability to identify areas for improvement.
- Supporting Operational Excellence initiatives across Finance and the wider CFO function in Ireland.
- Working closely with the Controller to manage deliverables, both routine and ad hoc, including those required by regulators.
- Developing an understanding and awareness of businesses of Europe and other Irish entities in the group and supporting infrastructure.
- Understanding processes and controls operated in producing annual financial statements, including local GAAP reporting requirements and assisting interaction with external auditors.
- Driving and reinforcing best practice in Conduct, D&I, and employee engagement across the Europe and Ireland CFO team.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders within CFO, Lines of Business, and Enterprise Support functions in Dublin and other locations.
Successful Applicants will have a qualified accounting background, experience in a global bank, and knowledge of Legal Entity Controllership.
The company offers a base salary of €80,000 to €100,000, exceptional company benefits package, and competitive bonus scheme.
