Senior Occupational Therapist Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior occupational therapist to join our adult intellectual disability team in Navan. As a member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalised intervention plans to improve independence, daily living skills, and community participation.
* Utilise evidence-based occupational therapy techniques to address sensory, motor, and cognitive challenges.
* Provide clinical leadership in OT-related matters, ensuring high-quality service delivery and promoting a culture of excellence.
* Offer mentorship and clinical supervision to junior therapists and therapy assistants, helping them to grow and develop in their careers.
* Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support clients in reaching their full potential.
Essential Requirements:
* CORU-registered Occupational Therapist.
* Minimum three years' post-qualification experience, with at least one year in adult disability services.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues and service users.
* Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is desirable.
* Full driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential for this community-based role.
