Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) has an opportunity for a Facilities Officer to join the Logistics team.The role of the Facilities Officer is to ensure that buildings, grounds and equipment are well maintained and meet safety codes. A key part of this role is ensuring that the central Warehouse and Main Office at Citywest are maintained to the high standard. Equipment must also purchase and dispatched and maintain to health and safety standard.The role of Facilities Officer involves working between Citywest HQ and Warehouse primarily but there will be close collaboration staff based nationwide. Also entails not only managing the Warehouse, but also deals with operational, scientific and research equipment in an effective and efficient manner but also looking after purchasing, maintenance schedules, audits, inspection, receipting goods in and dispatching goods out and ensuring the entire facility is maintained to the high standard required. is to ensure that buildings, grounds and equipment are well maintained and meet safety codes. VISION, MISSION & VALUESVisionTo place the inland fisheries resource in the best sustainable position possible for the benefit of future generations.MissionTo protect, manage and conserve Ireland's inland fisheries and sea angling resources and to maximise their sustainability and natural biodiversity.ValuesWe work collaboratively with professionalismWe are open, transparent and accountableWe act with respect and integrityWe are committed to stewardship and sustainabilityKEY RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure that facilities (buildings and grounds) are well-maintained and meet safety codes.Oversee maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, and manage contracts with vendors and suppliers.Maintenance of all health and safety aspects of the warehouse and Citywest facilityOversee contractor coordination and manage facilities-related visits at City West HQ properties to ensure smooth daily operations.Manage service contracts, including those with the cleaning provider, ensuring service standards are maintained and meeting rooms are properly prepared for use.Coordinate the distribution of workwear to relevant staff across the organization in a timely and organized manner.Manage data the database and generate reports for management reviewsMaintenance of an accurate record of all assets located in the IFI warehouse and within IFIMaintain accurate records of inventory, shipping, and receiving logs.Liaising with suppliers of field and technical equipment to ensure appropriate equipment is available to field staff as required for specific projectsLiaise with the HR team regarding workwear requirements for new starters, ensuring appropriate items are prepared and dispatched to the relevant River Basin Districts (RBDs) in a timely manner.Instigating purchase orders for equipment required for operational and field workPurchasing and Procurement in accordance with regulations and guidelines and inclusion of equipment on asset registersIssuing and maintaining records of equipment to IFI staff on a national basisUpkeep of warehouse and Citywest main office housekeeping, maintenance and health and safetyPractical understanding of OGP procurement regulations and guidelinesMaintaining accurate data on the asset management system to be introducedManaging a task driven ticketing system for all facilities requestsKEY EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate will have the following:EssentialA recognised third-level qualification in a relevant discipline, at a minimum level of NFQ Level 7, or equivalentA full Category B driving licence that is valid in IrelandPeople management and supervisory skillsProficient in the use of MS Excel & WordExperience of equipment management and servicing at a national levelCustomer service skills and understanding of internal customer needsHighly experienced in inventory management systems and stock auditing processesExperienced in developing and implementing a task/action ticketing systemAbility to write reports and to analyse large amounts of dataExperienced in manging facilities and project to completion.Good communication and team working skillsCommitment and self-motivationReliable, conscientious and punctualFlexible approach to workLOCATIONThis role will be based at IFI's warehouse at Castle House, Unit 2001, Citywest Road, Citywest Business Campus, Saggart, Co Dublin.REMUNERATIONThe salary scale for the position is at the level of Higher Executive Officer as applies in Inland Fisheries Ireland, it is a 9-point scale including 2 long service increments (LSI's):Point 1 €57,751.54; Point 2 €59,461.11; Point 3 €61,178.47; Point 4 €62,889.57; Point 5 €64,609.42; Point 6 €66,328.02; Point 7 €68,044.12; Point 8 (LSI 1) €70,525.16; Point 9 (LSI 2) €72,999.95 (IFI HEO Grade PayScale as of 01/08/2025)Candidates should note that salary will not be subject to negotiation and the rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.
