Location: Based between Dublin & Portlaoise
€50,000+ per year (depending on experience)
Includes company car with fuel, laptop, and mobile phone. Overtime available.
EU/UK citizenship or existing right to work in Ireland (mandatory)
Qualified Electrical Fitter or Crane Engineer (or equivalent trade certification)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in inspection, repair, and maintenance of lifting equipment
Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills for cranes and hoists
Full, clean driving licence; ability to operate forklift and overhead crane
Familiarity with CoreRFID system for uploading inspection reports
Knowledge of safety standards and lifting regulations

Job Overview
As an Electrical Fitter and Crane Engineer, you will inspect, maintain, and repair hoists, cranes, and specialist lifting equipment. The role involves troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, conducting safety tests, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. You will work both on‑site and off‑site, interfacing with customers professionally and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, and maintain hoists and lifting equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on cranes and hoists
Conduct inspections and testing of lifting equipment, plant, and machinery
Upload inspection reports to CoreRFID and process work orders
Operate forklift and overhead crane safely
Maintain accurate documentation and follow company procedures
Work in a safe, conscientious manner and represent the company professionally
Relay customer feedback to management and attend training as required
Qualifications
Recognised Electrical Fitter or Crane Engineer qualification
Minimum 3 years’ experience in lifting equipment maintenance
Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
Experience with hoists, cranes, and specialist lifting equipment
Forklift and overhead crane operation experience advantageous
