We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for a leading Nursing Home in Co Cork.
Responsibilities Play a key role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating high-quality nursing care.
Lead the nursing team in delivering person-centred care to all residents.
Prepare and administer medications in line with company policies and An Bord Altranais guidelines.
Ensure residents' personal care and hygiene needs are met to the highest standards while maintaining dignity at all times.
Provide palliative care and emotional support to residents and their families.
Act on behalf of the Director of Nursing during their absence or in emergency situations.
Plan and allocate nursing staff appropriately, ensuring suitable skill mix, experience levels, and continuity of care.
Organise fair and accurate duty rosters, coordinating leave and ensuring staffing levels meet fluctuating workloads.
Work with the Director of Nursing to prepare, implement, and evaluate budget and service plans within agreed financial limits.
Manage and monitor the correct use of supplies and equipment.
Lead by example, fostering a strong team ethos and promoting a positive, motivational working environment.
Support, train, encourage, and guide team members while contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and clinical advice to junior nursing and care staff.
Requirements Minimum of 5 years post-registration clinical experience.
Demonstrated experience in team management and performance oversight.
At least 3 years' experience in caring for older adults.
Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
Strong ability to lead, motivate, and support a team effectively.
