The Project Manager is responsible for delivering the projects safely on time, to budget and to specification, ensuring the projects achieve all project goals and objectives in accordance with the Contracting Entity’s employer’s requirements and the corporatestrategic intent for the portfolio.Oversee and monitor the delivery of the project around schedule, interface, cost, variations, contract and risk, liaising with the relevant team members and functions as requiredDevelop the Project Execution Plan, ensuring the project is aligned to and delivers in accordance with theContracting Entity's standards and methodsEngage with and manage the project relationships.Team ManagementManage the performance of a team of Project Managers each responsible for the delivery of one or more projectsOversee the day to day activities of the Project Managers ensuring that the appropriate project management techniques and measures are being implemented to ensure delivery of the projects to cost, schedule, quality and safety metrics.Develop and maintain a detailed resourcing plan for the delivery of the projects under the responsibility of the Senior Project Manager.Provide technical and contractual support to the Project Managers in their day to day delivery functions.Be responsible for reporting on the performance of the projects under their remitWork with the Programme Director to address any issues that arise in the course of the delivery of the projects.Project Management ActivitiesLead the coordination of the project ensuring interfaces are considered and addressed at all stages of the project lifecycle.Maintain the Responsible / Accountable / Consulted / Informed task tracker.Work with the technical teams in coordinating and managing the design consultants and other external service providers.Organise the appropriate design review meetings and be responsible for communicating design acceptance to the Contractor.Be responsible for communicating design changes to relevant members of the project team and stakeholders who may be impacted.Report monthly on the tasks throughout the project’s lifecycle including construction works (during theconstruction phase) that have been undertaken.Maintain the overall project risk register and update at monthly progress meetings.Identify opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.Monitor and apply performance management techniques.Manage the change control process.Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.QualificationsMinimum 15years experience in the Construction / Infrastructure sector including on relevant aviation and/or other related projects of a similar size and complexity.Experience of operating on site, not just office based.Tangible experience of documenting best practice construction project management policies and standards.Track record of delivering construction/asset delivery projects to time and within allocated budget;Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and guidance to support project delivery.Managing a significant multidisciplinary team across multiple concurrent projects.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure project outputs that meet required standardsKnowledge of NEC and FIDIC suite of contracts.Knowledge of Engineering and Project Management Principles.Required to attend client site weekly, going forward on a hybrid basis.Additional InformationWhat we Offer:Full time, permanentCompetitive remuneration and attractive range of benefitsPensionAnnual leave +2 Company days & 1 volunteering dayBike to work SchemeOpportunity to work on impactful and innovative projectsCareer development opportunities both in Ireland and globallyOpportunity to work with a diverse group of talented and collaborative colleaguesTurner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer.
