Financial Controller
Co. Meath
This is a key role within a growing organisation, overseeing day-to-day financial operations, supplier and subcontractor accounts, payroll, and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier and subcontractor invoices.
* Oversee weekly and monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations (PAYE, PRSI, RCT, VAT).
* Prepare bank reconciliations, manage cash flow, and assist with month-end and quarterly close processes.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, reconciliations, and reports for management.
* Liaise with project and site teams to track project costs and support accurate financial reporting.
* Identify and implement process improvements within finance operations.
* Support senior management with ad hoc analysis, reporting, and decision support.
Skills & Experience Required
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Strong background in operational finance including AP and Payroll.
* Excellent knowledge of VAT and ROS.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively across finance, operations, and senior management.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
