Main purpose of the Job
As a Chef De Partie, you are responsible for supporting the Head and Sous Chef in a busy kitchen, delivering consistently high-quality food, handling purchase orders, and ensuring that items arriving without authorization are not received.
To ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in daily preparation, staying updated with new products, recipes, and techniques.
Main duties of the Chef De Partie
1. Manage daily food preparation and duties assigned by senior chefs to meet establishment standards.
2. Follow instructions from superiors to complete daily tasks.
3. Coordinate daily tasks with the Sous Chef.
4. Estimate daily production needs and check the quality of raw and cooked food to meet standards.
5. Ensure high quality in food production, preparation, and presentation.
6. Maintain guest satisfaction, quality, and control food costs.
7. Adhere to standard procedures for food handling, storage, and sanitation.
8. Be knowledgeable of all menu items, recipes, and presentation standards.
9. Follow proper food preservation standards and operate all equipment safely.
10. Maintain effective communication and a positive working environment.
11. Assist in menu creation and ensure hygiene, safety, and equipment use compliance.
12. Produce work according to deadlines and support team members.
13. Check expiry dates and proper storage of food items.
14. Consult daily with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef on requirements and events.
15. Train and guide junior staff to maintain motivation and efficiency.
16. Lead by example in hygiene and cleanliness standards.
17. Provide feedback and report issues promptly.
18. Monitor quality control and adhere to service standards.
19. Ensure safety for all persons on premises and participate in safety drills.
20. Report incidents of accidents or damages and attend training courses.
21. Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements for Chef De Partie
* Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment.
* Good organizational skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.
* Full knowledge of HACCP standards.
* Flexibility with working hours.
* Proficiency in English.
