We are currently looking for a Music Producer who can support our music department by overseeing the production process, organizing cross-department collaboration and planning department strategy.
Our projects range from albums, EPs to films and games, spanning composers, musicians, sound-engineers, and musical editors.
More below.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
We are creating films, games, and comics - stories with soul - for our own fantasy universe (think Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc., but smaller - for now hehe). We started 4 years ago as a small team of folks who were initially supposed to package a TV show. Finding ourselves unable to give away our IP, we decided to build out the universe ourselves to retain (creative) control. Now, 4 years later, our rag-tag band of pirates has grown to over 150 members (far over 200 depending on how you count). Our current slate includes 3 short films (2 in active development, 1 in post production, 30min each), a comic book series (9 issues of Season 1, 40+ pages/issue), and two games (one Card Game online and offline version featuring our characters and factions, and one TTRPG with oneshots, campaign rules and region expansions). We also produce fantastic music, Shopify-sold merchandise, handcrafted art, documentaries about the making of Soul Atlas, Lore Videos, and Shorts. We have been working on getting greenlight, production up, worldbuilding ready, and marketing infrastructure set up. Now our task is mostly about improving the existing processes and bringing us into our first launches with financial implications (thus far, we took on some investment but have not made revenue yet - you first have to make a film to make box office).
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a soft-skilled team player who can take charge to make things happen. Responsibilities below may be seasonal and do not necessarily occur together in any given week.
* Support our team of composers, making sure that they have everything they need to perform at their very best
* Keep the individual composers and the general-chat on track: Develop timelines with the composers, set up meetings, help them stick to the timelines. Make sure the department becomes truly disciplined and dependable
* Liaise with producers from games, films, comics, and overall production coordination to make sure you receive and hand out all dependencies as they relate to the music department - we tackle projects which include other departments, f.e. world building. A tight connection to them shall ensure steady progress.
* Streamline the composition and production process by installing company standards for delivery, organisation, documentation, etc., taking different departments' needs into account. Of course, our team members will be there to support you <3.
* Help build the roster of composers, music word builders, musicians, sound designers, sound engineers etc. to help further improve production quality and soften key person risk. Organize conversations, Q&As, or other touchpoints with A-list composers, sound engineers, musicians, etc. to help train our team
* Support the production in event of concerts, festivals and other musical productions
YOU are a diligent, personable, responsible, reachable leader and you …
* Have a good understanding of the composing and production process (A&R)
* Have a track record as a producer, coordinator, and team lead in the creative area
* Are not easily satisfied: If there is potential, we need to make use of it.
* Speak professional english (being able to speak german is not necessary, but would be a plus)
* Have excellent soft skills: You know how to bring people together, address their needs, and detect any dysfunction early, while it can be treated easily.
* Are a self-starter: If there are dependencies missing, you will get them. If you need people, you will find them. If you need information, you will request it. You always know what's next, and if you don't, you find out swiftly.
A PLUS: A love for fantasy (think GOT, Witcher, LOTR, LOL, etc.)

FIRST STEPS We will begin by reaching out to you to schedule an interview. After our conversation, if you are chosen, you will get access, and we will set up appointments with all leads. We present the current timeline and team. You ask for anything you're still missing. Then we will hand over the keys to the kingdom, and it's you moving forward.
COMPENSATION DETAILS Time Investment: Part-time. Approximately 10 hours/week (flexible week on week, as we understand you may have other commitments) - you set your own boundaries. Salary: At this point, there is no salary. We instead give parts of the company away: Profit Participation: We are currently in the development of a profit share/royalty system that will award everyone who is part of the project a part of the pie without causing any upfront taxation. Upon request for an interview, we will send you a detailed breakdown so you can make a decision.
Thank you very much for considering the collaboration. We hope to see you on the other side and that we grow together on these exciting projects
All the best, Simon Klocke, Silas Meyer, Tillman Duft and the Soul Atlas music department
