Role Overview:
The Junior IT Support Analyst – Retail Systems provides everyday operational support for internal IT and business systems used across Cash & Carry, wholesale, and retail locations. The role supports the effective use of existing applications, databases, and reporting tools to ensure smooth business operations.
This position is focused on system support, operational monitoring, and data accuracy. It does not involve software development or advanced technical design responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide first and second line support for retail and wholesale systems, including POS, inventory, and order management platforms
* Support the daily operation of existing business applications and reporting tools used across multiple store locations
* Perform routine data checks, validations, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of transactional and inventory data.
* Verify data and generate standard operational reports.
* Assist with system updates, patches, configuration changes, and new store rollouts under established procedures and operational KPIs
* Manage user access, permissions, and basic system configurations in line with internal procedures
* Liaise with third-party vendors and internal IT teams to assist with issue resolution and scheduled system updates
* Provide guidance and assistance to store staff on system usage and basic troubleshooting
Required Skills & Competencies:
* Familiarity with POS systems, ERP platforms, inventory management, or order processing systems
* Advance Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
* Ability to interpret system reports, logs, and dashboards to support operational decision-making.
* Basic working knowledge of SQL / MySQL to support reporting system to generate various operational reports.
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Understanding of how IT systems support retail and wholesale business operations.
* Basic understanding of IT tools. exposure to HTML, Python, or AI tools is advantageous but not required.
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
* Well organised approach to managing multiple tasks and priorities
Required qualifications & Experience:
* Degree or Master's qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
* Experience in IT support, application support, systems operations, or technical business support roles
* Experience in Retail / Wholesale industry.
* Exposure to retail, wholesale, logistics, or multi-site operational environments is an advantage. Experience applying technical and analytical knowledge in a support, monitoring, or operational role
