We are currently seeking a part-time Housekeeper/Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a progressive environment and further your career. Our Kitchen Assistant will work in a busy kitchen helping residents with their meal preparation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:.
* Comply with all Company and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and HAACP. This will include awareness of any specific hazards in the work place.
* To work to high standards of personal performance, hygiene, appearance and cleanliness at all times.
* To communicate well and demonstrate a pleasant, polite, efficient, caring and friendly service to residents.
* To ensure that food is prepared, presented and served in a clean, hygienic environment.
* Undertake all aspects of cleaning equipment, walls, fixtures, fittings, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, glassware, microwaves etc to the required standards according to the cleaning rota, or as directed.
* Ensure cutlery, plates and cups etc are laid out.
* Undertake training and team meetings as required e.g. food hygiene, health and safety.
* Report any complaints or compliments and take some remedial action if at all possible.
* Report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate.
* Cover in other areas during periods of holidays and sickness

Main duties and responsibilities Housekeeping:
* Responsible for all soft cleaning – vacuuming, mopping and dusting etc and upkeep of busy accommodation facility under the direction of the centre management
* Ensuring all shared areas are kept clean and tidy – kitchen/ dining/toilets
* Work effectively and adhere to all Centre Procedures and instructions.
* Take responsibility for the safe use of all cleaning materials and equipment used in the course of your duties.
* Ensure cleaning activities are completed in a manner which will not compromise the health and safety of employees and residents at the site.
* Complete all log books and documentation in a timely manner as per management instructions.
* Report fabric defects to the centre manager.
* Do laundry runs as required.
* Report any issues identified to management with minimum delay.
* Show commitment to excellence, assume responsibility.
* Maintaining a clean policy of the company
* Ensure that housekeeping standards and excellent techniques are practiced at all times, and maintained to a very high standard
Required Skills/Ability to:
* Obtain and see to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to perform a task.
* Operate applicable specialized equipment,
* Use cleaning agents, products and equipment.
* Perform a variety of general maintenance activities.
* Manoeuvre mechanized equipment.
Qualifications Required:
* HACCP
* Manual Handling
* Experience as a Kitchen Assistant & Housekeeper
