Job DescriptionTo take overall responsibility for the Parts business, improve existing customer relations & develop new ones, manage supplier relationships and agreements. To lead the Parts team and ensure excellent customer service and support, and to grow the business in line with our strategic plans.Key Responsibilities & DutiesContinually review & analyse the Parts business, implementing agreed strategic plansContinually monitor & improve customer service levels being delivered by the Parts teamOversee the management of stock (daily & emergency orders, new and warranty parts returns)Monitor, analyse and report monthly on department performance against budgets and KPIsCompile Parts tender submissionsManage key accountsBusiness development, including travelling to customers and prospect premisesAssist in managing departmental/product promotions & participate in company eventsManage supplier relationships, agreements and service levelsPrepare annual budgets, managing departmental costs in line with company budgetsCollaboration with and support of the other departments within the businessManage performance and work standards of the Parts team, administering corrective action and support as requiredComply with and enforce Company Policies and proceduresComplete regular Probation Review meetings for new employees and participate in the on-going employee appraisal processManage day to day HR related processes (e.g. holiday approvals, absences etc.)Maintain high standards of housekeeping, maintaining a safe working environmentOrganise, manage and attend exhibition’s & shows, occasionally may include weekendsIdentify training & development requirements for members of the Parts teamParticipate in training and development programmes as required by the CompanyUndertake any other duties or activities as requiredSkills Profile5+ years Automotive Spare Parts experience (HGV’s/PSV’s an advantage) and/or tool/power tool industry also at management levelBusiness development skills and experience growing a business, experience of e-commerce an advantageTechnical understanding of commercial vehiclesProven leadership, managerial and people development skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong business acumenProven ‘customer first’ service delivery track recordStrong negotiation skillsAbility to work accurately and efficiently in a busy working environmentPerson ProfileAble to balance being both results and people focusedCommunicates well, builds excellent relationshipsOrganised.Agrees processes and delivers on timeA high level of innovation and problem solving.Must be able to work on own initiativeCompetent IT skills including Excel (intermediate level or above), MAM experience an advantageSalary: €60k + D.O.EBonus: €6k based on KPI’sCar allowance €12kWorking hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.30pmSaturdays: 1 in 3 to be worked 8am-12midday supporting the shop and teamReporting to: Managing DirectorLocation: Naas
