Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Manager to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our organization adheres to high safety, health, and environmental standards, specifically in the pharmaceutical and construction sectors.

Responsibilities
* Safety Program Management: Develop and implement robust HSE policies and procedures that comply with local, state, and federal laws as well as industry regulations in the pharmaceutical and construction sectors.
* Risk Assessments: Identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks and hazards on construction sites and within pharmaceutical operations.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines, environmental permits, and other health and safety regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations.
* Incident Management: Investigate safety incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative measures.
* Training and Awareness: Facilitate safety training programs and toolbox talks to promote employee awareness and engagement in HSE efforts.
* Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, quality assurance teams, and leadership to integrate HSE protocols into all corporate activities.
* Audits and Reporting: Lead internal HSE audits, inspections, and reporting to measure compliance and continuously improve operational safety.
* Sustainability: Drive environmental stewardship by promoting sustainable practices and reducing environmental impact.
* Culture of Safety: Foster a culture of safety, inclusion, and well-being by respecting and valuing diverse perspectives and contributions from all team members.
Required
* Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience (5+ years) in HSE leadership roles, particularly within pharmaceutical and/or construction industries.
* Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g. OSHA, EPA/GMP standards).
* Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments and designing HSE programs.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate reports, and recommend strategic improvements.
* Certification in HSE-related disciplines such as NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent.
Preferred
* Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the pharmaceutical industry.
* Experience with large-scale construction projects.
* Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
* Multilingual proficiency and familiarity with various cultural safety insights.
Day-to-Day
* Conduct workplace inspections and evaluate site conditions within the pharmaceutical and construction project sites.
* Monitor and analyze safety metrics and trends, and prepare comprehensive reports to communicate findings to leadership.
* Collaborate with on-site and off-site teams to support safe construction activities and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
* Develop, distribute, and present engaging safety training modules tailored for diverse staff groups.
* Oversee the disposal and management of hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with industry and environmental protocols.
* Provide leadership during emergency drills and coordinate responses during real-time incidents.
* Act as an advisor on all occupational health, safety, and environmental concerns to ensure best practices across the organization.
