Job Description
The Truck Helper plays a key role in supporting Greyhound’s waste collection operations. Working alongside the driver, you will assist with the safe, efficient, and professional collection of waste from both domestic and commercial customers. You will help ensure bins are loaded and secured correctly, maintain clear communication for vehicle movements, and uphold high standards of safety and customer service. This is a full‑time, permanent position based in Dublin, offering an immediate start and the opportunity to work within a supportive and dynamic logistics team dedicated to sustainability, service excellence and customer service standards.

Responsibilities
* Constantly ensure the safety of the public and team members.
* Assist in loading and unloading waste bins onto the truck, ensuring they’re securely positioned for safe transport.
* Communicate effectively with the driver to coordinate safe vehicle movements, especially in tight or busy areas, making sure surroundings are clear of pedestrians and obstacles.
* Interact professionally and courteously with customers during collections.
* Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment and promptly report any issues or safety concerns.
* Stay alert to potential hazards and take immediate action to prevent accidents.
* Follow company emergency procedures and assist if incidents or breakdowns occur.
* Support team members to ensure efficient and safe daily operations.
* Maintain a clean environment when moving bins.
* Return bins to the commercial and domestic premises in a neat and orderly manner.
