About the Role:
Albany Beck is partnering with a leading U.S. banking group on a key European funds project. The role sits within the Depositary function supporting regulated UCITS and AIFMD investment funds. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Depositary professional to manage a full range of responsibilities, from operational oversight to client relationship management, within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day Depositary duties in line with Central Bank of Ireland regulations and fund constitutional documents.
* Monitor fund compliance with prospectus-based and regulatory investment restrictions and borrowing limits.
* Perform independent reviews of Fund Administrators, global custodians/prime brokers, managers, ManCo's, and AIFMs.
* Act as primary contact for client service matters, including new business onboarding and ongoing relationship management.
* Support, mentor, and train team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Participate in onsite inspections, diligence reviews, and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with local regulations.
* Lead and coordinate key operational processes, including NAV oversight, asset verification, asset safekeeping, portfolio compliance monitoring, and performance fee reviews.
* Draft responses and submissions to regulatory authorities, including breach reporting and other statutory filings.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 5 years relevant Depositary or Trustee experience, with strong knowledge of UCITS and AIFMD requirements.
* Experience with private debt and equity funds is a distinct advantage.
* Proven track record in team leadership, staff development, and mentoring.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
* Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and a keen interest in compliance and controls.
* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
