Overview
Assistant Branch Manager – Limerick.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role is a dynamic and varied position encompassing all aspects of branch operations with a focus on sales, profitability, staff development and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Report to the Branch Manager and carry out Branch Manager duties in their absence.
Ensure corporate deliveries/collections meet high levels of service and check for damages.
Ensure exceptionally high levels of customer service are provided by desk staff and provide feedback for improvement.
Be aware of vehicle requirements during the day and plan for days/weeks ahead.
Monitor general fleet activity using fleet reports and discussions with the fleet department and Cluster manager.
Oversee CSR responsibilities and targets to ensure work is carried out correctly and hold staff accountable when necessary.
Set internal sales targets for CSRs and follow up on performance.
Identify corporate sales opportunities and work with the Branch Manager to target them locally.
Manage day-to-day operations/processes including deliveries, impros, utilisation, follow-ups on overdues, pre-closes, and RCR bookings for garages.
Coordinate daily with valeting staff to ensure smooth operation of this area.
Ensure daily payments reports are correct and necessary reporting is completed.
Handle customer invoicing requests and ensure servicing and maintenance meet required standards.
Ensure safety checks are in place and audit cars daily to meet agreed criteria; ensure staff adhere to safety and operational rules and procedures.
Take responsibility for own health and safety and that of colleagues.
Carry out audits to maintain high compliance standards.
Perform any reasonable duties within the scope of the job title as required.
Skills and Qualifications
3rd level relevant qualification would be advantageous but not obligatory.
2 years of supervisor/assistant manager experience would be advantageous.
Intermediate level of Excel and Word.
Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Full clean driving license.
