The Fund Accountant will work closely with the Company’s investment operations team, legal and compliance, EY tax and audit, reporting and Northern Trust (fund accounting and administration).Essential FunctionsThis hands-on, detail-oriented, dynamic position will:Track daily cash activity, including prompting administrator wires, funding investments and overseeing invoice/expense paymentsReviewing fund forecasts, weekly accruals and assessing against actualsOversight of expense limitation agreements (waiver and recoupment)Updating weekly cash projections and liquidity analysisAssist with updates to portfolio management data (SPI) and weekly reconciliationAssist in the preparation of semi-annual unaudited and annual audited financial statements in accordance with GAAPOversight of subscription currency hedging processAssist in the preparation of weekly net asset value ("NAV") and monthly NAV reportingPrepare workpapers and supporting documentation for the annual financial statement auditSupport fund administrators and coordinate delivery of required information, etc.Review weekly administrator reporting; evaluate any risksRespond to investor, sub-adviser and team member requests in a professional and timely mannerAssist with daily work associated with accounting and reporting functionsProcess, track and summarize expenses across all fundsAssist with preparation of company dashboards and board decksPerform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictateEducation And Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accountingAt least 2 years’ post‑qualification experience (PQE) of accounting or audit experience in asset management, fund accounting/administration or alternative assetsKnowledge, Skills, And Ability RequirementsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong Microsoft Excel experienceExperience with Alteryx is desirable but not requiredAbility to multi-task and manage priorities against key deadlinesOther AttributesMust be able to work independently, but contribute in a team-oriented environmentAt StepStone, we believe that our people are our most important asset and crucial to our success.
