The role involves ensuring that onshore and offshore transmission projects are developed in accordance with EirGrid's statutory obligations, standards, and policies.The successful candidate will undertake project design reviews and site inspections on both contestable and non-contestable transmission projects to ensure compliance with EirGrid standards and specifications. Expertise in HV transmission design and the ability to assess designs for conformity are essential. The role also involves managing technical queries during projects, ensuring they are resolved efficiently and in accordance with TSO standards and policies.The TeamThe Infrastructure office within EirGrid comprises highly skilled professionals in engineering and business. It leads the development and delivery of power system and interconnection investment programs, collaborating with partners, customers, and communities.The Engineering & Asset Management function covers asset management, technical authority, onshore engineering, and offshore engineering.About YouSuccessful candidates will have:An Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in HV transmission assets or similar industries such as Oil and Gas.Experience providing technical and functional standards for transmission infrastructure delivery.Experience in inspecting and monitoring construction progress for compliance to standards, ensuring transmission assets can be commissioned successfully.Experience preparing and issuing transmission design drawings, including single line diagrams, substation layouts, protection schematics, and interlocking diagrams.A strong understanding of stakeholder requirements related to the transmission system and its developments.Closing date for applications4th July 2025EirGrid is an Equal Opportunities Employer
