My client is looking for an IT Systems Administrator with 5+ years of experience in a similar role to join their growing organisation based in Cork. This is a permanent role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on, first- and second-line IT support to internal staff across hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Manage and maintain system infrastructure including servers, endpoints, networks, and cloud services.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Oversee user onboarding/offboarding, account provisioning, and device setup.
- Act as a key liaison between IT and business teams, translating technical issues into business terms.
- Support cybersecurity best practices and assist in IT policy enforcement.
Skills and experience:
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS) is a strong advantage.
- Background or solid understanding of business operations and how IT supports organizational goals.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
- Must be willing and able to work onsite 5 days a week.
