Our commitment to our team is deeply connected to our core values, which are:Job Purpose:The HR&OD workplan for 2026 is very busy including the implementation of learning and talent management systems, embedding new organisation values, a new leadership philosophy and the roll out of a new capability framework. Given their organisational knowledge the existing OD team will be asked to support most of the above work programmes.This fixed term OD Executive role will be pivotal in ensuring that while these major initiatives are advanced, the core organisational development activities—such as employee engagement, learning and development, performance, HR communications, graduate program management, mentorship programme and other OD activities are maintained at a high standard.Key Tasks:To contribute to the overall function of HR and Organisational Development, specifically in the delivery of a number of strategic activities in line with IDA's strategy, Adapt Intelligently: A Strategy for Sustainable Growth and Innovation, To work with the OD Manager & OD Team, to ensure that change management programmes and relevant HR&OD related activities are delivered.While not exhaustive it is anticipated that much of the work activities for this role will involve;Employee EngagementLearning and development (IDA Learning Academy)Annual performance processIDA Tuition Aid processHR CommunicationsIDA Mentorship programmeGraduate programme managementTo assist in the development of new policies and undertake a review of existing policies and procedures.To contribute to the overall function of HR and Organisational Development including the selection and recruitment function within the organisation and to provide feedback to staff, and candidates as necessary.Writing and presenting HR briefs and documents to relevant IDA internal stakeholders up to and including Board levelEnsure that IDA values and culture are at the heart of Organisational Development activity.To demonstrate flexibility in undertaking additional tasks as may be assigned.Key Competencies Required:Client Focused Relationship BuildingNegotiation & InfluencingKnowledge of the businessCommunication and Personal EffectivenessNetworkingProject ManagementCreativity & InnovationAdditional Requirements:A HR/OD Third level qualification, to a minimum Level 8 on the National Qualification Framework is essential.Ability to work well under pressure, flexibly and independently on own initiative and against tight deadlines.Ability to demonstrate up to date knowledge of theory and good practice in key areas is preferable: Organisation development particularly around change management and developing organisational culture.
