About the Role

The Back of House Manager is responsible for overseeing the cleaning, sanitation, inventory, and organisation of all kitchen and back-of-house areas in the hotel. This role ensures that all dishwashing, waste disposal, and hygiene procedures comply with the highest standards, supporting seamless kitchen and food service operations. The role manages our team of stewards and team leaders, control inventory of cleaning supplies, and upholds strict hygiene and safety regulations in partnership with the Food Safety Manager.

Key Responsibilities

* Organize the Back of House team to ensure that cleaning tasks are taken care of in a timely and professional manner.
* Ensure that all cleaning equipment and tools including dishwashers, hand wash stations and pot wash stations are maintained in a proper way and provide training if needed.
* Monitor and conduct inspection of the cleaning of all Back of House areas including kitchens, washing areas, corridors, fridges, waste room.
* Ensure equipment are stored properly in order to keep breakages down to a minimum
* Monitor and follow up on the evolution of the Back of House and outlets stocks and order accordingly.
* Monitor and follow up on the evolution of the budget and take decisions accordingly.
* Complete all required tasks including associates scheduling, payroll management, manning schedule, ordering of new equipment, agency timesheet, waste management, fridges cleaning and temperature recording.

About You

* An existing Back of House or Stewarding leader with a passion for excellence.
* Personable leader who enjoys building cohesive teams
* Solving problems in an efficient and respectful manner is an integral part of who you are.
* Preferably you’ll have had some experience of being part of a pre-opening team.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations, HACCP, and food safety standards.
