Who we’re looking for
This is a hands-on position responsible for delivering various aspects of the HR function, including caregiver recruitment, probation management, absence management, employee relations, compliance, caregiver training, retention initiatives, and maintaining employee records.
Successful candidate will have the following Traits & Abilities
* Ability to work closely with the National HR Team to implement HR projects and policies at local offices.
* Work collaboratively with GM & Operations Manager, providing HR/ER guidance for caregiver issues.
* 3-4 years of experience as HR Administrator, Generalist, Specialist, or Coordinator.
* Understanding of the Home Care/Healthcare sector in Ireland (preferred).
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to be innovative and implement new initiatives.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Respects confidentiality where appropriate.
What You'll do
Recruitment:
* Conduct second-round face-to-face interviews with pre-screened candidates.
* Ensure timely onboarding and shift assignment for new hires.
* Support National Hiring Week events.
Employee Relations:
* Serve as the point of contact for employee queries and issues.
* Manage offboarding processes, including return of equipment and exit interviews.
* Monitor and manage sickness and unplanned absences.
* Maintain and enhance employee relations, staff benefits, morale, and retention efforts. Assist with investigations, grievances, disciplinary hearings, and formal meetings.
Employee Retention
* Manage caregiver probation and seek feedback to improve processes.
* Develop an employee engagement calendar.
* Oversee mid-year and annual appraisals.
* Coordinate engagement events and promote surveys.
HR Administration:
* Maintain employee files compliant with employment law and standards; assist with audits.
* Keep HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook up to date and ensure staff compliance.
