Your new companyYour new company is a multidisciplinary, family-run contractor based in Co. Tyrone who are recruiting for a Site Manager for a new €7.5million project running throughout 2026. Specialising in construction within the education, leisure, restoration & heritage, private residential & social housing, and commercial sectors.The company has built an enviable industry name over the last 50 years within their specialist team, consistently delivering high quality service on a variety of projects for a diverse range of long-term clients, which has led to a high level of repeat business and continuous bid success.Due to ongoing contract awards, your new company now requires an experienced Site Manager with an Engineering background for the development of a prestigious new research centre.Your new RoleAs Site Manager, you will report directly to the Project Manager on site and take responsibility for the day‑to‑day site delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.This role would ideally suit a Site Manager who has progressed from an engineering background and is comfortable undertaking and overseeing small engineering works and some setting out duties on site as and when required. You will coordinate site activities, manage subcontractors, and work closely with the engineering and commercial teams to maintain smooth project delivery.You will be responsible for managing site operations from early work through to handover, including civils works, structural elements, and possibly some internal fit‑out, while maintaining strong control of health and safety, quality, and site logistics. The project will be supported by an established operational team, with you acting as the key point of control on the ground.To succeed in this role, you will need:To be willing to work throughout Ireland and commute or stay away as required on site. A degree in construction management, engineering (or equivalent) with proven experience of a setting out / engineering background.Proven experience in construction management in a commercial construction role or equivalent, with experience working with several subcontractors who interface with each other.The ability to understand and resolve complex problems in the fast-paced environment of construction. Proficiency in Project Management software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools. You must be computer (IT) literate. Relevant construction management tickets such an SMSTS ticket or NVQ level 6. A First Aid at Work Qualification (Preferred).
