Saint John of God Community Services, Dublin South East Services, are inviting applications for the position of Day Service Supervisor.
Dublin South East provides education, training, employment, respite, and community living supports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities in South Dublin.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned service in the intellectual disability sector. The role is within the public service, funded by the HSE, offering annual increments, generous leave, and pensions.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Part-Time Day Service Supervisor to lead the Community Outreach Service (subject to change based on service needs). This supervisory role involves managing staff teams, supporting, and developing person-centred opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities. The successful candidate will work 19.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
Requirements include a relevant third-level qualification to QQI level 7 (e.g., Social Care, Allied Health, Management, Teaching, Psychology) and experience working with adults with disabilities in developmental, educational, training, or work programmes.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with effective team and change management skills. A strong commitment to person-centred planning, a human rights-based approach, and understanding outcomes-based services are required. Creativity, initiative, and experience supporting those with complex needs are advantageous. A full manual driving license and willingness to use own car are also required.
Remuneration
Salary Grade: Senior Instructor grade on the HSE Pay Scale.
Location
The role is based in Dublin South East, with possible requirements to work at other locations associated with SJOG CS, with reasonable notice provided.
