Overview
Role located in Dublin, Ireland. Direct report to the Managing Director & Regional Treasurer, providing leadership and oversight for SIDAC Treasury ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are supported in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Voting member of the following management committees: Asset & Liability (ALCO), Credit (CC), Financial Crime (FCC) and Compliance & Conduct (CCC).
Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain SIDAC’s funding and liquidity position with robust processes to comply with applicable regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite.
* As a first line function, manage the Global Treasury function within SIDAC to ensure Treasury activities align with the firm’s risk culture and risk appetite.
* Weekly meetings with Director of Funding & Liquidity Management.
* Lead in defining and adhering to required Bank Liquidity Management practices.
* Inform key stakeholders on an ad hoc basis of changes in liquidity metrics or other funding concerns.
* Present the monthly Treasury report to ALCO and EXCO and provide verbal updates on global and macroeconomic events impacting financial markets.
* Manage reporting / MI process ensuring key drivers of treasury performance are identified and reports are accurate, timely and appropriate.
* Ensure adequacy and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
* Carry prescribed responsibilities as part of the Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR).
Qualifications & Experience
* Sufficient relevant experience demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional learning and development.
* Master’s degree and/or relevant professional qualifications (CFA, etc.) preferred.
* In-depth knowledge of money market and fixed income investment products with a comprehensive understanding of economic, political and financial markets.
* Strong understanding of liquidity metrics and liquidity processes.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements at local and other regulatory regimes including the BIS.
* Strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
* A proven track record of leading and motivating a team of seasoned professionals with the ability to empower and mobilize a team to achieve objectives.
* Excellent decision-making and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels and work effectively with other regional Treasury teams.
* Sound working knowledge of relevant accounting policies and regulatory environment.
* Ability to deal with complex issues in different market situations.
