Wildlife Rehabilitation Ireland is seeking a new Board member with strong fundraising experience to help strengthen the organisation as it enters its next phase of development, including the Wildlife Teaching Hospital project.
We are looking for someone who can contribute at Board level and, where appropriate, also contribute to WRI’s active Strategy Group, which is working on governance, finance, planning, and project development. This would suit someone interested in helping shape and strengthen the fundraising approach for the organisation and for the Wildlife Teaching Hospital project at an important stage of development.
Experience in the following areas would be particularly valuable:
fundraising strategy
donor identification and cultivation
major donor and philanthropic fundraising
capital fundraising
shaping funding asks and case-for-support documents
stakeholder and funder engagement
We would particularly welcome someone who brings sound judgement, fundraising experience, and the ability to contribute constructively as part of both a Board and a working project group. Experience in the charity, nonprofit, environmental, wildlife, or public-interest sector would be welcome, though it is not essential.
