RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is looking for a Civil Engineer (Circular Economy) to join our Design and Regeneration Team.

Our team has extensive experience in waste and circular economy projects, including Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) of closed landfills and unregulated waste disposal sites, remediation design, waste infrastructure design (recycling, recovery, disposal, and landfill sites), and contaminated land investigation and remediation. What You Will Be Doing
* Develop sustainable design solutions for waste infrastructure across various projects.
* Gain knowledge and experience by collaborating with senior colleagues across different RPS business units.
* Support the team by developing designs, conducting site investigations, writing technical reports, visiting sites, and managing project tasks.
* Lead and deliver waste design projects to high standards.
* Strengthen relationships with existing clients and support expansion into new markets.
* Ensure activities comply with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
* Pursue continuous professional development and maintain high discipline knowledge.
Who We Are Looking For
* At least 5 years of professional experience in civil design, preferably in a consultancy setting working on waste infrastructure or remediation projects.
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality technical outputs (reports, drawings, project plans).
* Motivated with a strong interest in advancing expertise in waste infrastructure design.
* Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
* Effective time management and ability to prioritize projects.
* Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
* Member of a professional body (e.g., Engineers Ireland) working towards chartered status.
* Strong teamwork, social, and interpersonal skills.
* Good understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
* Valid full driving license.
* Leadership skills to motivate and guide teams, with excellent client relationship management.
* Extensive project management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and leading project teams.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/BE) or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
* Chartered Engineer or close to attaining Chartership.
* Strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
