The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) FindoutmoreabouttheCRUat: ABOUT THE JOB We are currently seeking a district heating manager with experience in either economics, engineering, legal, public policy or other relevant fields for a role in our Decarbonisation division.
The successful candidate will manage the CRUs district heating team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Managing and supporting staff in terms of coaching, mentoring, along with skills transfer and development; Carrying out appraisals for each team member through CRU annual appraisal process; Delivering work in line with the CRUs Strategic Plan, implementing the CRUs strategy day-to-day, embodying the values of the organisation.
Development of annual goals and objectives for the team which will feed into the CRU work plan; Managing at all levels in a changing environment that demands both flexibility and adaptability; Operating in an environment of increasing accountability; Providing a clear focus on the importance of managing outputs and outcomes; Managing key projects in line with the CRU work plan in a productive and efficient manner Representing the CRU at stakeholder engagements, communicating effectively with external stakeholders.
Carrying out such other functions as may be required from time to time to fulfil the business objectives of the CRU and as appropriate to the grade.
Essential Requirements Candidates must have on or before the closing date for applications the following: An honours degree, NFQ Level 8 equivalent, in a relevant discipline (including but not limited to economics, engineering, science, law, finance, regulatory policy, business, accountancy).
Minimum of 5 years experience working in a regulatory, economic policy making or other relevant role.
THE PACKAGE *Starting salary of €81,678 *Salary scale: €81,678 - €115,684 *Candidates should note that entry will be at the minimum point of the scale.
*The rate of remuneration may be adjusted in line with Government pay policy.

*Salary increments will be awarded annually, subject to satisfactory performance.
