Job description
ASSISTANT MANAGER
(Store Leadership — Zara Home UK)
Who we are
Zara Home is part of the Inditex family of brands, within one of the world's leading fashion retail groups, with global brands including Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Lefties.
Zara Home brings design-led home collections to life — from textiles and fragrance to tableware, décor and gifting. Our stores are built around detail and inspiration, where product knowledge matters and customers value thoughtful support — from styling ideas to practical guidance and confident recommendations. At Inditex, how we work is what sets us apart: teamwork, respect, curiosity and sustainability, with people at the center of every success.
The role
As an Assistant Manager, you support the Store Manager to deliver a strong store operation, outstanding customer experience and commercial results. You lead by example on the shopfloor, balancing performance with people — coaching the team, raising standards and using product and data insight to make smart decisions day to day.
This role suits someone who thrives in a premium-feel environment where details matter: understanding the product, creating an inspiring store experience and helping customers feel confident in what they choose.
This role is for you if you…
* Lead with emotional intelligence, integrity and a positive mindset
* Are commercially confident — you understand KPIs and turn insights into action
* Have strong product awareness and enjoy building deep product knowledge
* Are highly organised with great time management and forward planning
* Stay calm under pressure, solve problems quickly and make timely decisions
* Know how to motivate and develop teams while keeping service standards high
* Are resilient, reliable and ambitious — always looking to improve and progress
What you'll do
* Support the Store Manager to deliver store targets, operational excellence and a premium customer experience
* Maintain a strong Customer Care focus: coaching the team and resolving customer issues with professionalism and care
* Analyse daily performance (sales rankings, newness performance, zero-sales items, product mix) and act quickly to improve results
* Use store profile insight and stock availability to adapt product placement and priorities
* Monitor performance across key store areas (ambiences, tables and furniture) to maximise strategic sections
* Ensure Visual Merchandising standards are delivered and bestsellers are enhanced through strong execution
* Stay on top of product flow: what's landed, what's coming next, and what decisions need to be made on the shopfloor
* Ensure the stockroom is efficiently organised and supports smooth replenishment and availability
* Support full compliance with Health & Safety processes and ensure cleanliness and tidiness standards are consistently met
* Step into the Store Manager role when required, ensuring continuity and strong leadership
What we offer
Competitive salary, 25% staff discount across all Inditex brands, 28 days holiday allowance, company pension scheme and the "More for Less" benefits platform with a wide range of discounts.
At Inditex, internal talent is our greatest asset. We offer clear progression opportunities, continuous learning through training and e-learning, and the chance to contribute to social and sustainability projects that make a real difference.
Inclusion & accessibility
We are committed to creating a recruitment process that is inclusive and accessible to everyone. Adjustments are available for candidates with disabilities or long-term conditions.
