Finance Governance & Assurance Manager – (SM/ AD level )A market leading property management company are lookingto hire an experienced finance professional to independently review and provideoversight over their accounting function. The successful candidate will provide professional, highquality and independent assurance to senior leadership team around theintegrity and performance of the Property Management Accounting function.
Role responsibilities will include:Establish and execute the annual surveillanceplan to independently assess the property management accounting functionensuring conformance with SLA's and contractual obligationsCreate a heatmap and understand revenuestreams by client, service line and risk to enhance transparency inform theleadership team of oversight activities Develop a risk register to include all keyoperational and strategic risksSolicit feedback on the performance of theProperty Management Accounting function from key clients and other stakeholdersand use feedback to inform future plans and challenge conventional thinking onclient service deliveryProvide recommendations for implementing bestpractices to drive improvement in the quality, efficiency and accuracy ofclient financial reporting and report preparation processesTake ownership of the actions required to putan annual verification process in place that provides assurance to seniorleadership that effective controls are in place
RequirementsQualified accountant with 8 years PQE workingin auditing and advising on governance, risk and controlsDemonstrated experience in overseeingaccounting functions, implementing process improvements, completing month /year end close activities for multiple entitiesStrong knowledge of financial principals, practicesand relevant accounting standardsMust have the ability to act autonomously,excellent organisational, planning and project management skills in order tolead complex projects while also supporting the overall performance anddevelopment of the finance functionThe credibility and personal presence tounderstand and integrate into the business with excellent interpersonal,written and oral communication skills
