ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Micron Agritech is seeking a commercially astute Finance Manager to join the leadership team and help steer the business through the next growth phase.
Following a significant investment, this is a unique opportunity for a finance professional to gain significant exposure to business operations across multiple work streams, including finance, business development & sales in a deep-tech, science-led company.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO to position Micron Agritech as a global leader in the animal health sector.
This role requires a highly commercial, driven, and analytical decision-maker who is confident in liaising with and influencing key internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
OPERATIONS & DEVELOPMENT
Serve as liaison between senior leadership, clients, employees and investors
Develop and implement business goals and targets
Identify new opportunities for growth and act as lead on any future funding rounds
Drive the strategic planning process of the business through in-depth analysis and reporting.
FINANCE
Preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts to help guide and support strategic business decision-making
Ownership of payroll, AP and AR processes
Foster and drive a culture of continuous improvement in evaluating and optimising month-end close processes, AP/AR and GL processes, promoting increased efficiencies and improved accuracy within day-to-day activities
Provide financial insight and analysis to support commercial negotiations, product pricing, and partnership agreements.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
A minimum third-level degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics).
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred; part-qualified or QBE candidates will be considered if they meet other criteria.
Proven experience in a start-up or high-growth SME environment; experience in agritech, biotech, or technology sectors an advantage.
Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
Excellent communicator with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and influence decision-making.
Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable – comfortable operating in a dynamic start-up environment where collaboration and initiative are key.
