Primary Objective of Position

Creating memorable experiences for our guests, simultaneously ensuring that service is prompt and professional, and that our standards are adhered to. Supporting the Restaurant Manager to oversee the team of 6-8 persons, ensuring that the team is consistently trained, developed and coached. Handling complaints in a timely and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities:

Customer care & Service:

* To use initiative in relation to the speedy resolution of customer / client queries or problems.
* To report on all guest / client feedback.
* To anticipate guests needs whenever possible to enhance quality service and in turn enhance guest satisfaction.
* To present a positive personal image to the customer at all times.
* To show respect for other team members at all times.

Standards:

* To promote good team relations in the departments ensuring fairness and consistency in dealing with all team members
* To ensure an environment exists which promotes employee morale & encourages the team to have pride & commitment in their area of work.
* To carry out regular job chats with employees to ensure ongoing training & development of the team.
* To ensure all employees have a complete, sound understanding and knowledge of hotel systems, policies and procedures, standards and requirements.
* To hold team briefings in department to ensure effective communication.
* To coach the team to maximize sales opportunities in order to meet sales targets.
* To ensure a high level of hygiene throughout the department at all times, with a strict cleaning schedule in operation.
* To oversee the ordering, cost control and standards of all wine supplies ensuring the correct purchase order procedures are adhered to.
* To develop & maintain standard of performance manuals (to include Room service & Lounge, Meeting & Events, etc) ensuring they are regularly reviewed & updated, therefore achieving a high level of service ensuring the highest level of guest care & satisfaction.
* To ensure the Team are able to carry out their duties as defined in the SOP Manual.
* The security of cash within your department is your responsibility. Subsequently, you should maintain a high level of observation & never leave cash in an open drawer or on work surfaces.
* To ensure that all Meeting & events standards are in place and maintained at all times and to action corrective coaching program when they fail.
* Responsibility for ensuring that Meeting Rooms are left clean, tidy and ready for customers use at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From €17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16.50 per week
