As part of our expansion, we are currently looking for a suitably motivated - Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer - to join our group.
What you'll do Creative engineering input, research, conducting trials, and challenging the norm.
Day-to-day the application of CAD design, close-form calculations, finite element analysis (FEA) and prototyping skills in order to realise various types of opto-mechanical systems and ensure optical performance across environments.
Ensure opto-mechanical designs meet space-grade standards (e.g., MIL-STD, ECSS), produce and maintain GD PLM/ERP exposure a plus.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings production for both in-house and external manufacturing Comfortable with commercial CAD packages (SolidWorks, NX, or similar) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Femap, Nastran).
Detail-oriented, organized, safety-minded; strong written reports; eager to learn; collaborative with manufacturing, quality, and design.
