Job Title: Building Services Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Building Services Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring the installation quality of mechanical and electrical systems on residential projects.
The role involves working closely with site construction management teams, design teams, and sub-contractors to ensure that M&E systems are installed to the highest standard and meet programme expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Continuous management and monitoring of M&E system installations from initial coordination to final commissioning and handover;
* Supporting site construction management teams in leading the coordination of M&E systems and assisting with onsite problem-solving;
* Coordinating with project design teams as required for M&E system interfaces with architectural and structural elements;
* Oversight of M&E sub-contractors onsite to ensure programme and quality expectations are achieved;
* Liaising with Public Utility providers, local authorities, and design teams to ensure timely delivery of electricity, public lighting, gas, water, and telecommunications services to new developments;
* Anticipating the requirement for modification of existing site services and expediting mains service diversions in conjunction with the Utility Providers;
* Supplementing the company's innovation and value engineering processes in consideration and implementation of best-in-class mechanical/electrical systems and products;
* Management of Temporary Electric/Water Systems;
Requirements:
* Further education in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering;
* 4+ years post-qualification experience in a similar project management role;
* Interest in energy management and emerging trends in residential building services, design, and construction;
* Relevant trade background an advantage but not essential;
* Team player, organised, self-motivated, and able to work on own initiative;
* Strong relationship builder, communication, and collaboration skills required;
* Focus on deadlines and commitment to programme delivery;
* Willingness to travel between sites across greater Dublin and a full driving licence;
* Strong problem-solving and attention to detail orientation;
* An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets;
