We have a current opportunity for a Chemist on a contract basis. The position will be based in Cork.
The role supports a Product Transfer project, replicating complex manufacturing processes at a new site.
Job Description:
The Chemist will work within the chemistry team, under general supervision, with responsibilities including:
1. Sampling and testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, including physical, chemical, chromatography, and advanced analytical techniques.
2. Routine verification activities.
3. Ordering and controlling consumables and testing chemicals.
4. Reviewing, verifying, and archiving documentation and raw data records in compliance with GMP standards.
5. Managing documentation related to Raw Material Receiving Inspection, Traceability, and other Quality Records.
6. Managing Retain Sample areas both on-site and off-site.
7. Coordinating outsourced testing and liaising with Contract Laboratories.
8. Performing SME duties for laboratory equipment, including peer reviews, equipment qualifications, and test method validations.
9. Troubleshooting issues, ensuring records and actions are completed timely, and managing out-of-specification investigations with CAPA where necessary.
10. Writing technical reports and documentation such as PEMAC forms, CDFs, SWFs, Technical Protocols, and NC/CAPA records.
11. Managing changes through the QMS, including ECR/ECN processes and approval tasks.
12. Supporting company and laboratory initiatives such as 6S and EHS actions.
13. Supporting internal and external audits, leading audit preparation for chemistry and laboratory areas.
14. Identifying and executing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives to support continuous improvement.

* Duration: 18 to 24 months

* On-site in Cork
