Our client is a rapidly growing residential property developer seeking a strategic Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement of construction materials, equipment and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies aligned with the overall project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Procurement strategy development: Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the overall project objectives
* Supplier relationship management: Identify and assess potential suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services
* Cost control measures: Oversee cost control measures to ensure procurement is within the established project budget
* Contract management: Draft, review and manage purchase contracts to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
* Process improvement: Continuously evaluate procurement processes to identify areas for improvement, cost savings and increased efficiency
Requirements:
* Previous experience in procurement, buying or supply chain management (preferably in construction)
* Knowledge of construction materials, equipment and suppliers
* Familiarity with procurement software or systems
* Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
