We are seeking a motivated and technically competent Graduate / Junior Civil Engineer to join a multidisciplinary civil and structural engineering team based in Macroom, County Cork.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, analysis, and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial, industrial, and public sector developments.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers and project teams, gaining valuable hands-on experience in both office-based design and on-site project support.
This is a permanent position, based in Office in County Cork,
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage, and infrastructure systems
Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports
Support project delivery from concept through to completion
Conduct site visits, inspections, and surveys as required
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders under supervision
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices
Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities
Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and cost estimates
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Strong understanding of core civil engineering principles
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
Full, clean driving licence (due to site visit requirements)
Previous internship or placement experience in civil engineering
Knowledge of Irish/UK design standards and regulations
Familiarity with drainage design software (e.g., MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage)
