The successful candidate will support Fáilte Ireland's strategic goals by delivering actionable visitor insights across various research projects, including tracking, concept testing, advertising, and destination experiences. This role reports to the Manager, Consumer Planning.Job Description:Key ResponsibilitiesInsight Development and ExpertiseConduct and direct qualitative and quantitative research analysis to uncover actionable business insights.Develop and deliver insight-led reports and presentations aligned with strategic objectives.Recommend relevant actions and solutions based on evidence-driven insights.Evaluate external agency research outputs and contribute to findings with innovative thinking.Engage in collaborative data analysis across internal teams and research suppliers.Project ManagementLead and support research initiatives, ensuring clarity in scope, timelines, and budget.Implement best-practice methodologies and manage project delivery to high standards.Partner with agencies on methodological design, including questionnaires and topic guides.Conduct desk research and integrate secondary data sources to identify broader trends.Communicating InsightsTranslate data into clear, impactful messages for diverse audiences.Deliver engaging presentations and produce insightful outputs independently or with agency partners.Support external communications through the creation and editing of research-based content.Stakeholder ManagementBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders by aligning insights with strategic goals.Maintain effective partnerships with external agencies and industry stakeholders.Respond promptly to queries and contribute to cross-functional projects within the CP&I team.Management and Delivery of continuous quantitative research programmeConduct data interrogation, quality assurance, and integration across multiple sourcesPerform bespoke data calculations and generate custom insightsEnsure accuracy and consistency of data outputs, including tables, reports, and queriesCoordinate with fieldwork and data suppliers to maintain research standardCarry out all other duties as required and participate as a full member of the Consumer Planning and Insight team by supporting different work projects, as required, from time to time .The flexibility to travel domestically is an element of this role.Person Specification:Essential Criteria:Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support team goalsStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to simplify complex data for non-technical audiencesResilience and ability to work under pressureEvidence of successful stakeholder engagement or cross-functional collaboration.In order to be eligible to apply for this role you must have / demonstrate in your application form the following:Minimum of 4 years' research experience either within: a consumer-driven organisation (preferably FMCG / CPG) or a research agency / supplier.Proven experience managing large-scale research projects, including managing fieldwork logistics and research suppliers (qualitative and quantitative).Demonstrated experience in survey design, presenting research findings and data analysis with high attention to detailQualifications/Mandatory TrainingA Professional Qualification (minimum Level 6 under the QQI Framework) in a related discipline (e.g. tourism, statistics, mathematics, economics, data science, market research, social sciences, or business analytics).Desirable Criteria:Involvement/experience in a range of different research projects is (i.e., tracking, concept tests, ad testing, innovation, and so on).An awareness and understanding of different models addressing human decision-making (e.g., behavioural economics)Membership of either the MRS or Esomar or other related professional organisations.Experience in using statistical and/or dashboarding applicationsCompetencies:Strategic ThinkingCommunicating EffectivelyTeam WorkPlanning and Managing WorkSelection ProcessShortlisting will be based on applications and the selection process may involve two competency based interviews.
