Speech and Language Therapist Role
Our hospital seeks an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to elderly adults with communication or swallowing difficulties in an acute setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of adult inpatients to identify their individual needs and develop effective intervention plans.
* Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions to improve patients' communication and swallowing skills.
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' progress and treatment plans.
Required Qualifications:
* Recognised qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist from a reputable institution.
* CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
* Minimum 1 year of experience working in an acute setting, preferably in a hospital environment.
* Permission to work in Ireland.
