Join to apply for the Resident Engineer Electrical role at RPSContinue with Google Continue with Google1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Resident Engineer Electrical role at RPSTalent Acquisition Specialist | Collaborative Team Building, Recruitment, Long-term FocusRPS has great opportunities for Resident Engineers Electrical to join our site based teams for roles in the South East, South West, and North West of The Republic of Ireland.About The RoleWe are seeking a number of Resident Engineers Electrical to work on major above and below ground water utility projects helping to deliver important infrastructure for their customers and to ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents (works requirements).The duties of the roles shall include, but not be limited to:Monitor and report on works being carried out onsiteMonitor the Contractor for compliance with the Safety Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) RegulationsPrepare excellent technical reports and presentations for internal and external use.Qualifications And ExperienceThe desired qualifications and experience for the Resident Engineers Electrical are:Level 8 degree in Electrical Engineering7+ years of relevant post graduate experience in engineering including site works supervision and monitoring of safe working practices. Ideally this will include water sector projects. Experience of pipeline treatment plant work will be an advantage.Hold a clean driving licenceHold current Safepass, Managing safely in construction and manual handling.About You - Core CompetenciesSafety and Delivery focussedAccountableProblem solverSelf-motivated/InitiativeWorks well as part of a team.Position Specific CompetenciesAttention to detail.Computer skills - MS Office Suite (advanced user of MS Excel preferred).Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a diverse multi-disciplinary team with excellent people management skills.Written – excellent report writing.Verbal – excellent communications skills.Have a good knowledge & experience of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.Good record keeping.Working knowledge of Public Works and FIDIC form of contractDetailed understanding of Health & Safety legislation and regulationsTrack record of leading or working in site supervision teamsContractor design review experience beneficialTeam Player with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), team working skills and analytical skillsAbility to lead and motivate themselves and others; willingly takes ownership of issues and seeks team participation to achieve best solutionAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendationsAbility to devise new approaches to problems encounteredWhat We Offer YouWe understand the need to work flexibly, with agile offices and hybrid working offered as standard, we’re happy to talk about flexible working.
