Our client is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead the clinical and operational direction of their established nursing home in North Dublin.
About the Role:
As Director of Nursing, you will have overall responsibility for the clinical governance and day-to-day management of the home. You'll lead a committed team of nurses and care professionals, ensuring the highest standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Provide strategic and clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of exceptional, person-centred care
2. Oversee all aspects of clinical governance, including risk management, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance
3. Lead, develop and support a high-performing team across nursing and care departments
4. Ensure HIQA standards are consistently met or exceeded
5. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, and resident engagement
6. Collaborate with residents, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to maintain a warm, inclusive care environment
7. Take full responsibility for staffing, budgeting, and resource planning
8. Monitor and review care plans, audits, and key quality metrics
9. Champion a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for residents and staff alike
Your Team:
10. Assistant Director of Nursing for day-to-day clinical support
11. Experienced Clinical Nurse Managers and nursing team
12. Support from regional senior management and compliance leads
13. Access to HR, training, recruitment, and quality assurance teams
Essential Criteria:
14. NMBI-registered nurse (RGN, RPN or RNID)
15. Minimum 7 years post-registration experience in nursing
16. At least 3 years in a senior management role (ADON or DON level)
17. In-depth knowledge of HIQA regulations and national standards
18. Proven leadership and operational management skills
19. Excellent communication, delegation, and problem-solving ability
20. A resident-centred approach to care and service delivery
21. Degree-level education and/or post-grad qualifications in management or healthcare leadership (desirable)
