The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join the Cork-based mechanical team. This role is ideally suited to a motivated engineer with consultancy experience who is keen to build strong technical foundations while working on a broad range of commercial and mixed-use projects.
The position is primarily office-based with a hybrid working model, with occasional attendance at client meetings as required.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the mechanical design and specification of building services systems
Produce and review detailed drawings using Revit MEP and other Autodesk tools
Support the delivery of projects through all stages of the design cycle
Work closely with design teams and modellers to develop project scopes
Ensure designs align with environmental management systems and sustainability objectives
Meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality
About You
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Building Services Consultancy environment
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of HVAC, heating, water services, drainage and BMS systems
Understanding of CIBSE, BS, IS and EN standards
BIM experience and commercial sector exposure are advantageous
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused mindset
