As a key member of our finance team, you will play a vital role in overseeing the financial management of our business.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership position and be responsible for managing all financial operations, cash flow, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and coordinate the accounts department team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
* Oversee all aspects of financial management including payroll, invoicing, grants, mortgages, and administration.
* Manage company cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support business growth.
Monthly Management Accounts
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
Statutory Returns
Oversee statutory returns including VAT, tax, and compliance requirements.
Financial Analysis
Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Coverage
Cover day-to-day accounts functions (payroll, invoicing, sales, admin) when staff are on leave.
Process Improvement
Streamline and improve accounting processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Liaison
Liaise with external accountant, banks, and financial institutions as required.
Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years' experience in a financial management role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of agricultural/horticultural businesses in Ireland.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, compliance, and financial controls.
