TheAssociate Director Underwriting will play the lead role in achieving OptumRx’s sales and renewal financial targets with specific responsibility for the Retail Network Alliance Program. You will be expected to support other business segments as needed.
Schedule
This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, with standard working hours. You will be required to work later evening hours with a later start time approx. 2-3 times per week.

Primary Responsibilities
Create and drive sales strategy in New Business and Renewals RFPs focused on Retail Network Alliance program through an in-depth understanding of OptumRx and all competitors, industry trends, market dynamics and internal key performance indicators
Lead collaboration and engagement with the Sales and Account Management leadership team; identify and prioritize key areas of focus
Advance pricing in acquiring new clients and retaining existing clients

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Finance, Risk, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience
Proven leadership experience in financial pharmacy benefit management or other underwriting experience
Client-facing experience, including negotiating and consulting with clients
Experience collaborating cross-functionally and communicating effectively and efficiently at multiple levels of large, complex organizations
Proven solid business and financial acumen, including solid financial analysis experience
Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office product suite
Ability to work later evening hours (with a later start time) approximately 2-3 times per week
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Health Plan clients
Experience managing a P&L
Ability to travel up to 10%
