Role descriptionWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Revenue Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, office-based role in Galway, reporting directly to the Revenue Manager.The Assistant Revenue Manager will play a key role in supporting revenue management operations, procedures, and best practices across the hotel. The role involves assisting with strategy, reporting, forecasting, and embedding a strong culture of revenue awareness throughout the team.This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for driving commercial success in hospitality.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Revenue Manager in maximising revenue through effective pricing strategies.Support the implementation of revenue management and distribution strategies.Conduct daily pick-up analysis, adjust strategy, and prepare regular reporting.Forecast demand, control inventory, and carry out market analysis.Perform competitive benchmarking and monitor market trends.Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports.Assist with creating and developing pricing strategies.Provide weekly dynamic forecasts of expected results, variances, and budget comparisons.Analyse and price group business strategies.Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, corporate, tours etc.).Ensure all related systems (e.g. iDeas, HotSoft PMS) are fully configured, validated, and functional.Work closely with the Sales and Reservations teams to maximise performance.Regularly monitor data input and ensure accuracy across all systems.Embed a culture of revenue awareness within the hotel team and promote best practice standards including: competitor analysis, yield management, business mix, channel optimisation, and pricing control.Assist with the annual revenue budget process.Support training, SOP development, performance management, and appraisals for the Reservations team alongside the Revenue Manager.Contribute to recruitment and professional development of the team.Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years' experience in reservations or revenue management within the hotel industry.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.Proficiency in iDeas Revenue Management System and HotSoft PMS, or similar systems.High level of enthusiasm, professionalism, and commercial focus.Strong leadership skills with the ability to adapt to different people and situations.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage teams effectively.Builds and sustains strong relationships with employees and customers.A proven team player who collaborates effectively across departments.Motivates, inspires, and empowers others to achieve goals and improve performance.Commitment to upholding and demonstrating the company core values.
