Job Title: Infection Prevention and Control Professional
A leading healthcare organization seeks an experienced Infection Prevention and Control Professional to join their team in Westmeath. This is a critical role that requires expertise in infection prevention and control practices, with the ability to provide guidance and support to clinical and non-clinical staff.
Responsibilities:
* Provide expert IPC advice and guidance to staff on infection prevention and control practices.
* Lead and support outbreak investigations and implement control measures.
* Conduct surveillance and audits of infection rates and IPC practices.
* Develop and deliver education and training programs for staff on IPC best practices.
* Review and update IPC policies and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse (RN) with active NMBI Pin.
* Recognized qualification or training in infection prevention and control.
* Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience in infection prevention and control, with experience in developing policies, conducting audits, and leading education initiatives.
* Extensive knowledge of infectious diseases, epidemiology, and microbiology.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Meticulous, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems.
