As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of highway and transportation projects.
Project Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to provide technical advice and support for highway infrastructure operations and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in contract administration, project management, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinating specialists, managing contracts, reviewing submissions, expediting project schedules, ensuring compliance, and conducting regular inspections;
• Prepare and present reports to clients;
• Draft and review correspondences to contractors;
• Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders;
• Manage day-to-day operational duties;
• Continuously improve operations and deliver quality customer service;
• Propose alternatives for expediting / recovering of project schedules with contractors for presentation to, and agreement with, the client;
• Attend Risk Reduction meetings and record actions and mitigations agreed;
• Monitor contractual compliance by the contractor, and early identification of issues and problems.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical/electronic engineering; or in another relevant discipline;
• 5 years + post-graduate experience in infrastructure projects;
• Ideally experienced in mechanical/electrical systems projects and infrastructure maintenance;
• Strong team player;
• Analytical, self-motivated, and numerate;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience in chairing meetings and managing resources;
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines;
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word;
• Familiarity with PPP and NEC3 contracts;
• Knowledge of highway engineering standards;
Desirable Skills:
• Experience in Infrastructure O&M schemes and Intelligent Transport Systems;
• Familiarity with DMRB standards.
