Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre systems.This is how you can make a difference at Abbott:In this role you will apply subject matter knowledge in our high-speed automated Puck manufacturing process. You will require the capacity to apply skills/knowledge within the context of specific needs or requirements.It will be a very big plus if you can bring experience in developing projects or sites from square one.Responsibilities:Implement, maintain, and optimize pharmaceutical/biological/medical device manufacturing processes and equipment.Travel internationally to vendor locations for training & development purposes as the role requires ( travel requirement approx. 20%, primarily Switzerland)Develop, coordinate, end-to-end manufacturing process and maintenance documentation, and procedures, to support the Kilkenny ADC site.Take a lead role in the coordination of training of others, and ensuring the effectiveness of this training and transfer of knowledgeBe prepared to embrace a challenge and develop your skills on the fly, be a self-motivated, organized and detailed individual.Must apply, from knowledge and real-life experience/techniques, the principals of cGMP, continuous improvement, process yield and down time loss analysis, process efficiency/optimization, to achieve world class operational excellence and maximize output efficiency.Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with Abbott requirements and regulations.Take ownership of corrective and preventive actions and investigations.Support (in all aspects) requirements of the Abbot quality management system.Preferably you will have skills and experience with:High volume manufacturing equipment for complex operations, such as knowledge of Allen Bradley controls, P&P robotics and servo-controlled systems. Knowledge and experience with Mikron equipment would be a distinct advantageMetrology equipment and techniquesManufacturing and maintenance support systems, MES/POMs, Maximo, OEE systemQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEA relevant third level qualification in Engineering/Manufacturing/Science.
